"Surrender"

This is a watercolor. It was done shortly after my mom died.  The death theme can easily be seen.  The concept, that if one keeps death nearby then "Life" will be appreciated and lived wholeheartedly, is a favorite of mine.

The questions I posed in the previous post I think can best be answered by a quote of Deepak Chopra's, "In the ultimate surrender, you give up all needs.  For the first time you will be able to say, 'I am enough.'  You will find yourself in a world where everything fits together as it should."

Faith

The word for the day is "Faith". Today have faith in yourself as being spirit in body form.

The word for the day is "Faith". I like the idea that God became the world rather than created it.  This would mean that everything IS indeed God, God is everything. It follows then that each of us is god, we are the avenue through which consciousness  gets to experience and evolve.  So have faith in yourself, in your innate wisdom, in your bodies' wisdom and allow God to experience joy and freedom through You.

If this is not bliss then I don't know what is. "Lacey", my sister Kerri"s dog, if you can call her that, she seems human.

Good Morning

The word of the day kids, is BLISS. Can you spell it? Can you feel it?? We are indeed blessed for we are alive and privileged to be here NOW. I love all of you and send light to each of you.

"Binta". One of my models for my portrait series, a dear friend and truly a being of Light, Binta.
And (on top) "Erica" a beautiful and inspiring young woman who graciously allowed me to interpret her into this form. I hope to do more portraits as they help keep me from becoming a complete recluse.

My newest series,"The Universe Within", will be part of my permanent selection at Gallery at Marina Square. I find it helpful to have cues around me to go inside myself for answers. These images do that for me and my hope is that they will do the same for viewers. My dad's religion could be summed up with his words,"I know there is a God every time I look at a flower", so for me flowers also remind me that there is more than what meets the eye. My mother's religion was of a Native American influence and the concept that we do not own the earth but that rather we are merely guests here was important to her and continues to remind me.
