Update May 2012

Change is everywhere in my personal world. A major life shift is in progress. Finding some sense of reality in these times is tricky business as reality is subjective and fleeting. Breathe as deeply as possible and let go. Love to you all, Namaste

Love Is, I AM.

I hope my images and words can represent my intention to share, what bit of Grace is bestowed upon me, with you.
Thank you
Namaste (" I honor the place in you in which the entire Universe dwells. I honor the place in you which is of love, of truth. of light and of peace. When you are in that place in you, and I am in that place in me, WE ARE ONE."

About Me.

Daddy, Halles Buford Hobbs, Pearl Harbor survivor.

My featured artist exhibit was a success, in 2011.
Jean Hobbs-Hayes, my dad's sister has gone home.  She is now with the ancestors
.  A gracious and generous woman.

"Happy Birthday to Me" my 56th b-day photo.
Every birthday should be a celebration.  Shelly Hobbs-Zack, my first cousin, died last week leaving two 8 year old kids and a devastated husband, parents and sisters.  The term "only the good die young "was written for her.  Be with love and peace Shelly.

My mom Mary Hobbs and my sister Kerri( my horse Lady's rear in the background).
The "match made in Heaven" went to my parents Halles B. Hobbs and his bride Mary M. Johnson-Hobbs. Me and my mom in front of our house in Oceano. We lived here until I was 4.

Those Easter outfits were the worst.
Kerri, Mom, Coleen Dillon,Me and  Gwynn Dillon.
Gwynn and I are in matching dresses made by my mom.

My purpose with my work is the same as my purpose in Life.  I intend on staying as open as I possibly can to change and growth.  I try to paint or create what I wish to be rather than what I am.  I find that I teach what I am trying to learn. It is a challenge to allow spirit to flow through me without letting outside influences to interpret it before it becomes.  And in the same since, to Be me without those same influences shaping me.  One of my all time favorite quotes by Martha Graham is the best reminder I have to this effect. Graham says,"There is a vitality, a life force,an energy. a quickening that is translated through you into action and because there is only one you, in all of time, this expression is unique.  And if you block it, it will never exist through any other medium and be lost. The world will never have it..."
Most of the images you will see here can be purchased in one form or another and the prices are quite affordable to any budget.  You may contact me for more information.
I am an oil painter, photographer, water colorist and have painted on just about any surface imaginable at one time or another.  I enjoy portraits and have recently done a couple of my friends, if you are interested in sitting for me I will pay you with a piece of artwork.

I aim to translate spirit through a lens of positive, life-affirming joy and feeling which will hopefully be seen when viewed by you.  My hope is that when you take my art into your home it will inspire and delight you, filling your home with the intentions with which it was made.  Namaste
