Open window over my bed
woke to a dream
of standing at the base of a steep stairway
on the beach.
Looking up I tell my child companion
" there could be absolutely ANYTHING
at the top of this stairway".
I woke up with the cool, hopeful breeze,
breathing it deep into all the cells
of my body.
I felt the unlimited possibilities that the day
holds. I was probably in my 20s the last time felt this
excited, hopeful glee.
I had a good day.
